PO Edward Paugh, US Navy (Ret), 82, of Goose Creek, SC, husband of Doris Cowart Paugh, died Sunday, June 13, 2010, in a local hospital.
Born June 25, 1927, in Kempton, MD, he was one of two children of Abe Paugh and Rose Paugh. Mr. Paugh was a WWII Veteran and retired from the US Navy after 20 years. He owned and operated Ed's Barber Shop on Dorchester Road. He was also a member of the Fleet Reserve.
Mr. Paugh is survived by his wife of 25 years, Doris Paugh of Goose Creek, SC; sons, James H. Rentz, Jr. and his wife Tammy of North Charleston, SC and Charles E. Rentz of Knoxville, TN; daughters, Barbara Davis Wilson and her husband Blain of Goose Creek, SC and Jackie Davis Pfister and her husband Scott of Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Paugh.
The funeral service will be held in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 3:00 PM. Interment with military honors will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel, Tuesday, June 15, 2010 between 6:00 and 8:00 PM.
