Phyllis Cohen Slesinger, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Paul Semon Slesinger entered into eternal rest Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Her funeral service was held Thursday, August 23, 2012 in the Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery, Sycamore Street, Maryville at 4:00 pm.

Mrs. Slesinger was born July 22, 1930 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Isadore Morton Cohen and Jean Krawcheck Cohen. She attended The University of Georgia and was the former owner and operator of Peggy's Dress Shop. She was a member of Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue and B.S.B.I. Sisterhood.

She is survived by her daughter, Harriet Slesinger of Charleston, SC, son, Jerold Slesinger of Charleston, SC, sister, Elaine Cohen Saul of Augusta, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.Memorials may be made to Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue,182 Rutledge Avenue, Charleston, SC 29403.
