Phyllis Marie Ransom Crabbe

Phyllis Marie Ransom Crabbe, 85, of Hanahan, South Carolina, widow of CDR Douglas Vincent Crabbe, Jr., USN (Ret) entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 2, 2025. Her graveside service will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Phyllis was born September 15, 1939 in Taylor, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Chester Ransom and Lida Strein Ransom. She was a graduate of Central High School and received her bachelor's degree from West Chester University. Phyllis enjoyed crossword puzzles, arts and crafts, gardening, bird watching as well as watching Jeopardy. 

She is survived by her three children: Kristin Hughes of Charleston, SC, Kindra Pettigrew (William) of Salley, SC, and Douglas "Kip" Crabbe III (Nicole) of Clemmons, NC; five grandchildren: Kaitlyn (Tyler), Alec (Emilee), Justin, Cooper, and Macy; two great grandchildren: Evelyn and Colson; brother, Dale Ransom (Barbara) of Scranton, PA; sister-in-law, Sharon Hodges of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and aunt, Mary Crabbe of Clifton Park, NY. Phyllis was predeceased by her granddaughter, Kylee.
