Philip Hedrick Murray Jr., 69, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 21, 2023. His Funeral Service will be held Sunday, October 29, 2023 in Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3075 Bees Ferry Road at 4:00 pm. The family will receive friends Saturday in J. Henry Stuhr, West Ashley Chapel. 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Entombment follow will be in the Church Columbarium.

Philip was born December 28, 1953 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Philip Hedrick Murray and Betty Justice Murray.  He attended Newberry College was a retired salesman in the automotive industry. Philip was an active member of Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church. 

He is survived by his son, Philip Gamble Murray of Summerville, SC; sister, Frieda Mackey of Charleston, SC; brother, Patrick Murray of Charleston, SC; niece, Kathleen Mackey; nephew, Kristofer Mackey; Grand niece, Joelle Mackey; and grand nephew, Jackson Mackey.
