Peter Reginald Wey

Mr. Peter Reginald Wey of Mt. Pleasant, SC entered eternal life on February 26, 2017, surrounded by family and prayers at the age of 80. A private graveside service for family will be held at Magnolia Cemetery at 11:00 am Saturday, March 4, 2017. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Mr. Wey was born in Manhattan, NYC on 5/5/1936 to Elizabeth Pressprich Wey (1910-1994) and Henry F. G. Wey Jr. (1903-1997). The Wey family lived in Rye, New York while Mr. Wey attended primary school and was a member of Christ Anglican Church. He was also a graduate of the Hotchkiss School, attended Kenyon college and graduated NYU School of Commerce with a bachelors in Science. Mr. Wey also served his country in the United States Coast Guard and had a long career in banking.

Mr. Wey is survived by his wife Sarah Schwartz Wey of 52 years, two sons Peter Deen Wey his wife Leigh Mendelsohn Wey and their two children, Robert Deen Wey and Daniel Joseph Wey all of James Island, SC and Alexander Mellon Wey of Mount Pleasant, SC; two brothers, H.F.G. Wey, III (Marilyn B. Wey) of Hingham, MA and Thomas Alexander Wey (Mary Virginia E. Wey) of Larchmont, NY.
