SK1 PERFECTO D. DESONIA, USN (Ret.), 86, of Goose Creek, SC, husband of Victoria Valenciano Desonia, died Saturday, February 13, 2016. His funeral service will be held Thursday, February 18, 2016 in Saint John Catholic Church, 3921 St. Johns Avenue at 9:00 am. Interment, Beaufort National Cemetery at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Perfecto was born May 3, 1929 in Sorsogon, Philippines, son of the late Pedro Desonia and the late Epifania Dichoso Desonia. He was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church and was also a member of the V.F.W. He served in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria Desonia of Goose Creek, SC; son, Albert Desonia (Sharon) of Goose Creek, SC; daughter, Antoinette Brenner (Carl) of Dayton, OH; and seven grandchildren: Cheyenne, Anastasia, Michael, Justin, Gideon, Jon, and Catie.
