Ms. Tucker was born January 20, 1919 in Augusta, GA, the daughter of Clifford Bruckner Gibson and Mary Terry Gibson. During World War II, she was swept off her feet by a fine young sailor, Bill Tucker of Macon, Georgia. After several years of marriage and the birth of two sons, they divorced and Bill died in 1966. "Honey" became one of the first single, working mothers of her time. She bought a piece of property and moved to Lake Sinclair, Georgia in 1959 and was affectionately dubbed the "Little Lady of the Lake." She worked for the Secretary of the Moose Lodge in Macon, Georgia and as the bookkeeper at McGaw Laboratories in Milledgeville. She retired as a paralegal from the Dickens Green Law Firm in Milledgeville, Georgia. At her home on Lake Sinclair in Putnum County, Georgia she enjoyed water sports and life on the lake.

Following retirement, "Honey" worked in both Georgia and South Carolina in the movie and television industry appearing in more than a dozen commercials or films from North and South with the late Patrick Swayze and actress Leslie Anne Down to episodes of Rescue 911. "Honey" can be spotted in many films, television series and commercials in the company of stars like Armand Assante, Donald Sutherland, Corbin Bersen, Scott Bakula, Jeff Bridges, Julia Roberts, Robert Duvall, Dennis Quaid, Bruce Willis, Albert Finney, Tracy Pollen, and Timothy Hutton. She spent her golden years splitting her time between family and grandchildren on Lake Sinclair, GA and Isle of Palms, SC. Her five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild remark of their "Honey" that she was present at the important events of their lives like birthdays, graduations, first days of school and college, ball games and ballets. She rejoiced in their every achievement and supported them during any challenge.

Happy and fun-loving, Honey was always willing to "sling her things together" and go. She was adaptable and accommodating to everyone and every situation. She was a pioneer, unwilling to accept accolades; a loving and adoring mother; a proud and warm grandmother, and one of the loveliest people to walk this earth. The family wishes to thank the staff at Mount Pleasant Manor for their many kindnesses to Honey over her last three years as a resident.
