Peggy P. Goodyear

Peggy P. Goodyear, 79, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Franklin Delano Goodyear died Monday, July 24, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 27, 2017 in the Mount Pleasant Chapel 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Peggy was born February 3, 1938 in Reevesville, South Carolina, daughter of the late Robert J. Poland and the late Lottie Mae Utsey Poland. She retired as a Mail Carrier for the United States Post Office. She was a Baptist in faith and was a member of the Easter Star. Peggy also was a volunteer for the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

She is survived by her daughters, Deanne Stokes of Mount Pleasant, SC, Pam Lynch of Moncks Corner, SC, Barbara Goodyear of Mount Pleasant, SC and Nancy Ferdon of Huger, SC; two sisters, Barbara Colson and Gayle Peagler, both of St. George, SC; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Judy Goodyear and one great grandchild.
