Peggy Jean Youmans Collier, 82, of Isle Of Palms, South Carolina, wife of the late Everett Collier passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in the Harleyville Cemetery, S. Railroad Avenue, Harleyville, SC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Mrs.Collier was born November 5, 1930 in Walterboro, South Carolina, daughter of the late Ivy Luda and Edna Addison Youmans . She was a teacher and later served as a receptionist for an oral surgeon. While living in Harleyville, she was very active in her Book Club as well as the Harleyville United Methodist Church. She was a lifetime member of the Greater Charleston Bowling Association and loved bowling, going to the beach, and her cat, Jacque. Peggy was known for her gardening and having a "green thumb."

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Zambetti of Mount Pleasant, SC and Debra Miller and her husband, Tommy of Awendaw, SC; her grandchildren, Rebecca McGrew and her husband, Luke of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Matthew Miller and his wife, Marina of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Drew Zambetti of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her great-grandchildren, Luke McGrew, Jr., Lawton McGrew, Landon McGrew, and Leif McGrew all of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her sister, Temperance Thompson and her husband, R.C. of Walterboro, SC; her cousin, Betty Jean Schultz of Columbia, SC; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Roy and Billy Youmans; her daughter, Karen Ann Collier; and her son-in-law, Lt. Col. Felix A. Zambetti III (USAF).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Peggy's name to East Cooper Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 583, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29465 or the Hospice of Charleston's Hospice Center, 676 Wando Park Blvd, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
