Entered into eternal rest the afternoon of Tuesday, December 27, 2011, Peggy Gosnell Baker, widow of Theron C. Baker of Charleston, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of Peggy are invited to attend her funeral service in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 95 Folly Road, Charleston, Saturday, December 31 at 10 am. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Friday from 5 pm until 7 pm.
Born May 22, 1935 in Anderson, SC, Peggy was the daughter of the late Dock H. Gosnell and Louise Watkins Gosnell. Mrs. Baker was a Public Accountant with Arthur Ravenel, Jr Companies, Gerald Haulbrooks Certified Public Accountants and Liollio Architects. She was a founding member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and a member of The Daughters of The King. Peggy was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family and many friends.
Survivors include a son: Dock Austin Baker of Charleston; a daughter: Jennifer LaFrance (Jeffrey) of Summerville; brothers: Jerry Gosnell (Nancy) and W. Kenneth Gosnell both of Eutawville, SC and T. Douglas Gosnell (Marie) of Chapin, SC; sisters: Patsy Porter (Pete) of Moncks Corner; Jane Moore (Bill) of Anderson, SC; a granddaughter: Stephanie LaFrance of Goose Creek; a sister-in-law Patricia Gosnell of Summerville, SC and many nieces and nephews. Peggy was predeceased by her brother James Gosnell.
