Pearl Cartwright McPheeters, 99, of Moncks Corner, SC, wife of the late James Alfred McPheeters, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Rd., at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am until the time of service in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.
Pearl was born June 12, 1915 in Cleveland, Tennessee, daughter of the late Ben Cooper Cartwright and the late Addie Wooden . She was a homemaker and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church, as well as a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Walker(James) of Moncks Corner and Mildred McPheeter of North Charleston; brother, Carl Cartwright of Bolivar, MO; sister, Leatrice Farmer of Cleveland, TN; fifteen grandchildren, thirty four great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Peggy Hawkins- McPheeters and Betty Inger; three brothers, Lester Cartwright, Bennie Cartwright and J.C. Cartwright, as well as her sister, Lissie Moore.
