Pearl Cohen Baker

Pearl Cohen Baker, 102, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Louis I. Baker entered into eternal rest Monday, November 10, 2014. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2014 , Graveside in Emanu-El Cemetery (Maryville), Sycamore Avenue at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Pearl was born May 3, 1912 in New York, NY, daughter of the late Max Cohen and Katie Tapper Cohen. She was a graduate of Walterboro High School and attended Columbia College. Pearl was a Past President and Life Member of Hadassah. She was a charter member of Synagogue Emanu-El and Past President of Emanu-El Sisterhood.

She is survived by her daughters: Sharon B. Syret (Julian) of Reading, PA, Sandra B. Seligman (Marcus) of Savannah, GA; two sons: Barry I. Baker (Carol) of Charleston, SC, and Stanley L. Baker (Ann) of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
