Pauline Sivley Morse, 95, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Gus G. Morse, Jr. entered into eternal rest Saturday, July 31, 2021. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, where a private graveside service will be held. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Pauline was born March 6, 1926 in Hartselle, Alabama, daughter of the late Paul Sivley and Berdie L. Bibb Sivley.
She was a long standing member of the Isle of Palms Baptist Church. She was devoted to the church nursery and served in many capacities. Pauline shared her love of God and worship with appreciation. She was another wondrous evidence of God's tender guiding hand.
Pauline was a supportive mom of two children, always encouraging scouting, music lessons, teen dances, boating and fishing.
Pauline and Gus managed a family restaurant "Inlet Inn" at Breech Inlet in the early 1950's. In later years, they were known in the community for their Mt. Pleasant Seafood business.
She is survived by her daughter, Maxine Morse (Lawrence) of Isle of Palms, SC; son, Richard Morse (Betty) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandsons, Paul McKnight (Robyn) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Ronnie D. McKnight, Jr. (Rebekah) of Mississippi; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John E. Sivley and Millard D. Sivley.
For listening and caring,
for giving and sharing,
for always being there -
We thank you, Mom
Rest in Peace.
