Paul Ernest White

Paul Ernest White, Sr., 81, husband of Betty Marie McMillan White, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away on the morning of Saturday, June 19, 2010. The relatives and friends of Paul Ernest White, Sr., are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at eleven o'clock. Prayers of Final Commendation will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery with Military Honors. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends at J. Henry Stuhr's Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel on Monday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.

Mr. White was born January 2, 1929, in Somerville, MA, son of the late William Albert White and Lillian Josephine Devlin White. He was a member of the Charleston Rifle Club, Bellsouth Pioneers Camping Club and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He is survived by his wife, Betty Marie McMillan White; two sons, Timmy White, Sr. (Melanie) of Awendaw, SC and Paul Ernest White Jr. of Albany, NY; three daughters, Paula Huff (Bill) of James Island, SC, Terri Schwerin (Jules) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Susan Kellum (Tommy) of Huger, SC; two brothers, Leo White, Sr. of Beverly, MA, and Robert White of Revere, MA; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, Michael and Robert White; his brothers, Donald and William White and a sister, Catherine Bunker.
