Sondles
Jun 25, 1963 — Jun 21, 2026
J Henry Stuhr West Ashley
1:00 - 2:00 pm (Eastern time)
Paul Wayne Sondles, age 62, passed peacefully in his home on June 21, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on June 25, 1963, in Akron, OH, Paul lived a life filled with laughter, friendship, and a deep love for those around him. He was a devoted father, a proud grandfather, and a loyal friend whose presence could light up any room.
Paul had a passion for racing. Whether behind the wheel or cheering from the sidelines, he loved the excitement, competition, and camaraderie that came with the sport. That passion reflected his adventurous spirit and love for life.
Above all else, Paul cherished time spent with family and friends. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. His easy smile, quick wit, and genuine kindness drew people to him wherever he went. Whether sharing stories, enjoying a cookout, or simply sitting and talking for hours, he treasured the connections he made throughout his life.
He also had a special bond with his beloved dog, Bell. Bell was a constant companion and brought him endless joy, comfort, and laughter. The love he had for Bell was evident to everyone who knew him, and their companionship was a cherished part of his life.
As a father, he provided love, guidance, and unwavering support. As a grandfather, he found immense joy in watching his grandchildren grow and creating memories they will carry with them forever. His family was his greatest pride and the center of his world.
He is survived by his children, Scott Sondles, Samantha Haynes, Suzanne Sondles, and Brandon Sondles; his siblings, Louanne Coulter, Theresa Wright, and Donald Howell; eight grandchildren; and Aunts, Donna Howell, and Joanne Sondles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cornelia Wise; and daughter, Tabitha Sondles.
Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind. His laughter, generosity, and love for life will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A service will be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2026, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A private celebration of life for the family will be held after the service.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
