Paul Axel Pearson

CPO Paul Axel Pearson, USN Ret., 81, of Goose Creek, SC, entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 4, 2013. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 12, 2013 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 10:00 am. Interment, with military honors, followed by Masonic rites, will be held at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Mr. Pearson was born October 22, 1931 in Brainerd, MN son of Axel V. Pearson and Agda Rydstrom Pearson. WB Paul Pearson was very actively involved with the various Masonic bodies in Charleston. He was a Past Master of Washington Lodge #5 (now Mariner Lodge #2), Past High Priest of Carolina Chapter #1, Royal Arch Masons; Past Illustrious Master of Enoch Council #1, Royal and Select Masters; and a member of S.C. Commandery #1, Knights Templar and Charles Towne York Rite College No. 113 of the Charleston York Rite Bodies. He was a 32nd Degree KCCH of the Valley of Charleston Scottish Rite Bodies, a member of Joel W Frampton Council No. 85, Knight Masons, a life member of the Royal Order of Scotland, and a member of Omar Shrine. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

He is survived by his brother, John Pearson of Alborn, MN; daughter, Ilona Harberson of New Braunfels, TX; special friend, Sharyn Radlbauer of North Charleston, SC; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Guther Pearson.
