Paul Robert Olson

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of October 4, 2011, Paul Robert Olson.  Residence, Myrtle Beach, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services at the graveside in Beaufort National Cemetery Monday, October 10, 2011 at 1:00 pm. 

Mr. Olson was born June 24, 1924 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Reverend O. Bernard Olson and Verna Swanson Olson.  He was a graduate of the University of Illinois, where he also received a Masters Degree. Mr. Olson served with the United States Army during World War II. He retired from the Rockford Public School District in IL; serving a variety of positions from school teacher, athletic coach to administrator. Following retirement, he moved to Myrtle Beach and continued his teaching career at Myrtle Beach High School. At the conclusion of his career as an educator, Paul worked at Myrtlewood Golf Club for twenty-four years. Mr. Olson was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Myrtle Beach and The Swedish Covenant Church.

He is survived by his son: Robert Paul Olson of Charleston, SC; his daughter: Sue Annette Olson of Madison, WI.
