Paul Clayton Morrow, 95, widower of Iris Virginia Bodie Morrow, of Charleston, SC, went to be with his Lord on the morning of March 26, 2012. The relatives and friends are invited to his funeral services Friday, March 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Epworth United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Thursday between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. Interment, Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Paul was born December 21, 1916 in Blacksburg, SC, the son of Joseph Dennis Morrow and Bertha Edith Morrow. He was a graduate of Dobyns Bennett High School in Kingsport, TN. He served as a veteran of World War II, and was retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He served with the United States Army during World War II and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir for many years. He was an avid bowler of many years at Triangle Lanes.
He is survived by three daughters: Carolyn Tumolo of James Island, SC, Paula Barrineau of Sevierville, TN and Debbie Morrow of Bishopville, SC; five grandsons: Dale Yarborough of Charleston, SC, Todd Yarborough (Pam) of James Island, SC, Kenneth Yarborough (Cindy) of Johns Island, SC, Paul Gaskins and Tracy Tumolo (Candy) of James Island, SC; three granddaughters: Vicki Alea (David),of James Island, SC, Jennifer Tumolo, of James Island, SC and Teresa Yarborough (Kenneth) of Rock Hill, SC, eight great-grandsons, eight great-granddaughters and 1 step great granddaughter; one son-in-law, Jimmy Yarborough of Johns Island, SC.
Paul is predeceased by his wife of 73 years, Iris Virginia Morrow, his parents, a daughter, Patricia Yarborough, a granddaughter, Paula DeAnne Yarborough, five brothers and six sisters.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of Heartland Hospice for the care given to their Dad.
