Paul Kendall Moore, Sr., 71, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Robin Westbury Moore, entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 5, 2023. His memorial service will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023 in Bethel United Methodist Church, 57 Pitt Street at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends following the service at Hibernian Hall, 105 Meeting St., Charleston, SC. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Paul was born May 17, 1951, in Florence, South Carolina, son of the late Be Neely Moore, II and the late Eugenia Kendall Moore. After his graduation from the University of South Carolina, Paul moved to Charleston where he began his career. For over forty years, Paul was a well-respected commercial real estate appraiser. He was passionate about his career and truly enjoyed his work. Paul was proud to have served a term as the President of the SC Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. He was an active member of the Hibernian Society and was a past member and officer of the Exchange Club of Charleston. Paul enjoyed giving back to his community through volunteer work affiliated with these two associations. He attended Bethel United Methodist Church. Paul will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality and love for his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Robin; son, Paul Kendall Moore, Jr.; daughter, Collin Moore (David) Rumph; two step-sons, Chris Hartzog (Jessica), Zachary Hartzog (Jenna); step-daughter, Hayley Castellano; six grandchildren, David Rumph, III, Elizabeth Rumph, Carter Hartzog, Cooper Hartzog, Cecilia Hartzog, Callie Hartzog; three brothers, Be Neely Moore, III (Jameely), Edward E. Moore (Shelley), and William M. Moore.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hibernian Society Scholarship Fund, Charleston Animal Society or the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital.
