MSgt. Paul Thomas March, Jr. (US Army, Ret.), 62, husband of Barbara Hinze March of Olympia, WA passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011. The relatives and friends of Paul March, Jr. are invited to attend his Memorial Service to be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at 6:00 p.m., at the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends, at the chapel, one hour prior to the service.
MSgt. March was born March 14, 1949, in Winchester, TN. He was the son of Paul Thomas March and Wilma Turner March. Retired from the U.S. Army, having served two tours in Vietnam, three tours in Korea, and one in Germany. He retired at Ft. Lewis, in WA. He attended First Christian Church of Kent, and was a member of the Baptist faith.
MSgt. March is survived by his wife of forty years, Barbara of Olympia, WA; his son, Daniel March of Spanaway, WA; his daughter, Amanda Sprankle and her husband, Scott of Puyallup, WA; and his grandchildren, Kayla, Jessica, and Austin Sprankle. He is also survived by his parents, Paul Thomas March and Wilma Turner March of North Charleston, SC; his sisters, Beverly Shaffer of North Charleston, SC, Brenda Hiers and her husband, Bill of Ladson, SC, and Gail Nathan and her husband, Norris of Hanahan, SC; and his brother, David March of North Charleston, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society , 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406.
