Paul Louis "Buzz" Lind, 80, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Maizie Mitchum Lind entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 5, 2023. His funeral service will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm before the service. Inurnment with military honors will be held in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Buzz was born September 16, 1943 in Youngsville, Pennsylvania, son of the late Robert Harrison Lind and the late Ruth Harkins Lind. After serving proudly in the U. S. Navy as a rescue driver and flight deck operator, he had a long career as a truck driver. You could find him at the VFW or American Legion serving as former commander of each. He was also a member of the local Etiwan Masonic Lodge and the JC's. He will be remembered for the way he loved his country, fellow veterans, and family.   

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Maizie Lind; six sons, Scott Lind, Paul Lind (Becky), Jesse Lind (Tracy), Shawn Lind, Dusty Lind (Sarah), and Arthur Bone; daughter, Tammy Pellow; 14 grandchildren, Madison, Preston, Justice, Blake, Landon, Ethan, Jonathan, Ernie, Chrissy, Leah, Argyle, Cookie, AJ and Lexus;, and sister, Connie Slocum.
