Patty Loree Engenito

Patty Loree Engenito, aged 98, of Charleston, South Carolina, departed this life on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Born on December 1, 1926, in Appleton City, Missouri, Patty was the beloved daughter of James Guy Wilson and Zoe Murphy Wilson. Her life spanned nearly a century, marked by resilience, dedication, and compassion.

Patty devoted her professional career to service in the Finance Department of the Caldor Corporation of Norwalk, CT for 21 years where she demonstrated her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

She was a member of St Jerome Parish in Norwalk, CT for 55 years and enjoyed traveling to Europe every year with her husband.

Patty leaves behind her cherished daughter, Lori Archer and son-in-law, Michael, of Charleston, SC and two grandsons, Michael of Ocean Springs, MS and Christopher (Anna) of Anaheim, CA. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael John Engenito, with whom she shared many cherished memories during their 74 years of marriage.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Patty's honor on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 2:30 PM in Saint Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, located at 990 Etiwan Park St. Following the Mass, Prayers of Final Commendation will take place at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being managed by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

As we reflect on Patty's extraordinary life, we remember her as a pillar of strength and love within her family and community. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. May she rest in eternal peace.
