Patsy Eargle Saunders, 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, April 12, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 405 King Street at 12:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel. Interment will be Thursday, April 18, 2024 in Zion Presbyterian Cemetery, Lowrys, SC at 3:00 pm, under the direction of Barron Funeral Home in Chester, SC.
Patsy was born July 10, 1936 in Lowrys, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Homer Eargle and the late Francenia Leticia Abell Eargle. After graduating from Rivers High School, Patsy received her undergrad from Mary Washington College, and became an RN through UVA Nursing School. Patsy founded In Home Care, excelling in the business of in home nursing care. A long time resident of Crofton, MD, Patsy became a resident of Mt. Pleasant in 1996. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by son, Stuart Saunders and his wife Sarah of Mount Pleasant, SC; daughter, Kathleen Galbraith and her husband Steven of Sullivan's Island, SC and London, (United Kingdom); three grandchildren, Nathan T. Saunders of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Virginia R. Galbraith and Max K. Galbraith of London, (United Kingdom); and brother, William Eargle, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Salt Lake City, UT. She was preceded in death by husband, Gerald Berkeley Saunders, and sister, Mary Sabonski.
