It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Patrick Theodore Corbin, affectionately known as "Teddy," who left us on September 26, 2024, at the age of 66. Teddy was known for his warm spirit and generous heart, making him a friend to all who crossed his path. He had an extraordinary ability to connect with people, always offering a helping hand to those in need.
One of Teddy’s proudest contributions was his long-standing involvement in the local school’s Halloween Extravaganza. For years, he built the Haunted House, each year outdoing the last with his creativity and passion. His efforts brought joy and excitement to children and families, and his legacy will be remembered in the community for years to come. Teddy was also a proud coach of the Dixie Youth Baseball Team, a role that was later carried on by his nephew, Richie Corbin, who continues to coach the youth in our community.
Teddy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who always showed his deep devotion to his family. He took immense pride in his children-his son, T.J., a highly skilled and successful welding fabricator, and his daughter, Nicki, a dedicated manager in the food service industry and proud mother to his beloved grandchildren, Alex and Sophia.
A passionate fan of Clemson Football, Teddy’s love for the Tigers was rivaled only by his love for people. Whether cheering for Clemson or sharing laughs with friends, Teddy filled every room with joy and energy. His kindness, loyalty, and genuine care for others will be deeply missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him. Teddy had a unique way of doing things, affectionately referred to as “Teddy’s way,” and he lived by the motto “Hakuna Matata”-no worries. That philosophy defined his life.
Teddy is survived by his loving wife, Lori Sylvia Corbin; his son, Theodore Patrick Corbin "T.J." (Brittany); his daughter, Julia Nichole Skipper (Nicki); his grandchildren, Justin Alexander Louis Skipper and Sophia Lynn Skipper; his brothers, James E. Corbin III (Marvia), Russell B. Corbin (Mx), William D. Corbin (Winnie), and Richard F. Corbin (Patsy); his sisters, Patricia M. Corbin (John) and Angela A. Corbin (Keith); along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a wide circle of friends who became like family.
A visitation will take place on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 10:30 AM, followed by a service at 11:30 AM at Christ - St. Paul’s Church, 4981 Chapel Rd., Hollywood, SC. We will gather to celebrate and honor the laughter, memories, and love Teddy shared so freely.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Teddy’s memory can be made to Christ - St. Paul’s Church.
Rest easy, Teddy. Your kindness and generous spirit will live on in all of us whose lives you touched. Go Tigers!
