Patricia "Patti" Lynn Whitfield

Patricia "Patti" Lynn Whitfield, 46, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014. A Celebration of Patti's Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, January 20, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral chapel.

Patti was born November 29, 1967 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Judy Kay Whitfield and the late Lonnie Whitfield. A gifted hairdresser, she was a member of Rutledge Memorial Baptist Church. Patti cherished creativity, which was known through her love of crafts, decorating, fancy gift wrapping, and her phenomenal hair styling ability. She was also known for helping others, loved laughing, live concerts, traveling, comedy, her pets: Pele and Bandit, music, and her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Judy Kay Whitfield of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her sisters and brother, Michelle Magwood of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Elaine Whitfield of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Michael Whitfield and his wife, Lauren of Charleston, SC; her nephews, Joshua Magwood and Smith Whitfield; and her nieces, Whitney Magwood and Parker Whitfield.
