Patricia Irene Paturzo, 84, of Sullivan's Island, SC passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 27, 2012. The relatives and friends of Pat Paturzo are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Stella Maris Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Mount Pleasant Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with the Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.

Pat was born in Charleston, SC on March 6, 1928, daughter of the late Thomas F. and Elizabeth Knox Paturzo. A member of Stella Maris Catholic Church, she was very active with the church, and the Senior Adult Ministry at Christ Our King Catholic Church.

She is survived by her nieces, Helen Ballew of Columbia, SC, Pamela Frye of Alpharetta, GA, and Nancy Trau of Columbia, SC; her nephew, Thomas F. Paturzo of Sumter, SC; and her great-nieces and nephews, Bryan and Chris Frye, Scott Ballew, and Allison, Erin, and Andy Trau.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Marshall Stith and Susan Stith Hindman for all which they did to help Pat. Your generosity will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Sullivan's Island Fire Department, 2050 Middle Street, Sullivan's Island, SC 29482.
