Patricia Comar McMahan, 81, of Summerville, SC, wife of George P. McMahan died Monday, November 5, 2012. All services will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC, NORTHWOODS CHAPEL.
Patricia was born March 22, 1931 in Atlanta, GA, daughter of the late William A. Comar and the late Nell Cornwell Comar. Pat was an active member of the YWCA and past president of the Columbia Chapter. She was a loving wife and mother who was very proud of her children. She enjoyed playing Jeopardy and was quite the expert. Writing and illustrating poetry was a favored pastime. She loved sharing her jokes and sayings at every opportunity.
Pat is survived by her husband of 62 years, George P. McMahan of Summerville, SC, sons: Danny McMahan of Troy, NH, James McMahan (Nancy) of James Island, SC, Artie McMahan of North Charleston, SC; daughter, Bonnie Wiles of Summerville, SC; grandchildren: Jason Wiles (Tara), Kelly McMahan, Katie McMahan, Alex McMahan, Danny McMahan, Ben McMahan, Jacob McMahan, Joseph McMahan; great-grandchildren, Skylar Wiles; Alyx Emmond, and Elle Cook.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, P. O. Drawer 70579, North Charleston, SC 29415.
