Patricia Kathleen Rose Block

Patricia Kathleen Rose Block, passed on August 31, 2016 after a 5 1/2 year battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on March 2, 1942 to Oscar and Kathleen Rose, Pat was a proud native of Charleston, South Carolina. She attended Chicora High School, Sate Fe Community College, and South Carolina Baptist School of Nursing. After moving to Florida, she dedicated over 25 years of her life to The Cushman School in Miami as the school nurse and registrar. Pat loved her cats, stone crabs, mystery novels, classic rock, and Motown, and her home state of South Carolina.

Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

She is survived by Ronald, her devoted husband of over 50 years; sister Colleen; daughters Alison and Kristin; brother and sister-in-law Fred and Marina Block; nieces Rebecca Richman and Susan Fulmer; nephew Fred Block; son-in-law Ernesto Martinez; and granddaughter Juliette Martinez.

Her remarkable survival was made possible by the skilled approach of Dr. Linda Bach, Dr. Bach Ardalan and surgeon Dr. Dido Franceschi at the University of Miami.
