Patricia Lynne Hiers

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of May 27, 2010 Patricia Lynne Hiers of Johns Island, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services Monday, May 31, 2010 at eleven o'clock in Harborview Presbyterian.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., Sunday between five and seven o'clock.

Miss Hiers was born October 14, 1959, in Walterboro, SC, the daughter of Charles William Hiers, Jr. and Ruth Nunamaker Hiers. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the College of Charleston and earned her Associates Degree in Architectural Engineering from Trident Technical College. Miss Hiers was a Civil Engineering Technician with the Naval Weapons Station. She was an avid gardener and started and helped maintain the Butterfly Garden in Harborview Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder and clerk of session. She dearly loved and cherished her niece and nephew.  She was devoted to her two cats and dog. She was a gifted watercolorist and produced many beautiful paintings.

She is survived by her parents: Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Ruth Hiers of Charleston, SC; one brother: Chuck Hiers and his wife Jill Hiers of Charleston, SC; one niece Caroline Hiers of Charleston, SC; one nephew Garrett Hiers of Charleston, SC; She was preceded in death by her infant brother, James Olin Hiers.
