Patricia Presher Hempton, 73, of Johns Island, South Carolina, wife of John A. Hempton, Jr. entered into eternal rest Thursday, September 6, 2012. Her funeral service will be held in J.HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11:00 am. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel.

Mrs. Hempton was born February 7, 1939 in Greenville, South Carolina, daughter of Marvin Presher and Connie Gillespie Presher. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, John's Island.

She is survived by her husband, John A. Hempton, Jr., of Johns Island, SC,4 daughters: Amber H. Jenness (Carl) of Summerville, SC, Shelia H. Watson (Tony) of Johns Island, SC, Sharon H. Larnish (Jim) of Johns Island, SC, and Cheryl H. Mitchell (Daryl); son, John A. Hempton III (Beth) of Fort Lawn, SC, 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson.
