Patricia Joy Groves, 87, of Hanahan, SC, widow of William Frederick Groves entered into eternal rest Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 in the Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1106 Fort Drive, at 10:00 am. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow at Beaufort National Cemetery at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Patricia was born January 18, 1934 in New Orleans, LA, daughter of the late John Furlong and Gertrude Carpenter Furlong. She was a administrative assistant in the education field. She loved to work with ceramics, especially making porcelain dolls. She was very giving of her time and always tried to live her Catholic faith.

She is survived by one son, William F. Westgroves of Worcester, MA; four grandchildren: Robert Madden, Sean Madden, Haell Westgroves and Atreyu Westgroves; Several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Frederick Groves; daughter, Mary Kathleen Elyeah; one granddaughter, Laura Madden; brother, John Furlong; sisters, Ruth Neeley, Margie Francipane and Leilia Smith.
