Patricia Cooper Dent, 66, of Johns Island, South Carolina, wife of David Dent entered into eternal rest Friday, November 10, 2023. Her memorial service will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Lutheran Church of The Redeemer, 714 Riverdale Drive at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.
 
Patricia was born May 21, 1957 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late W.N. Cooper Jr. and Catherine Hicks Cooper. She was a loving wife, amazing mother, and an extraordinary Nana. Her optimism, perseverance and selflessness were an inspiration to all that knew her. She devoted her life to raising her children and spoiling her grandchildren. They were the light of her life. 

She enjoyed spending time on the lake with her family and friends. Patty had an extraordinary gift. She was not only beautiful on the outside, but her decency, graciousness, and goodwill enriched her internal goodness. Her warmth and love created a lasting impact, and her memory will be a source of comfort and inspiration.

In addition to her husband David, she is survived by two daughters, Kimberly D. Richmond (Robert) and Kelly Dent Towne (Carey); son, David Dent Jr. (Jane); and six grandchildren, Ella, William, Anna Kate, Addison, Grayson, and Karsyn. 
 
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for any donations to be given to the Children’s Pediatric Oncology fund at MUSC Children’s Health or Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.
