Patricia Clegg Davis, 85, of North Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Charles Herman Davis, Jr. entered into eternal rest Tuesday, March 19, 2024, waiting to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was under wonderful, loving care of the staff at Summerville Medical Center when she peacefully passed.
Patricia was born May 11, 1938 in Columbia, South Carolina, daughter of the late Ervin Clegg and Jetti Grant Clegg. She graduated from Brookland Cayce High School in Cayce, SC in 1956 as did her husband, Charles. She and Charles were married for 67 years. In addition to her husband she is survived by son, Charles Davis III of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandson, Chandler Chase Davis of Clayton, NC; and brother, Rick Clegg of Lexington, SC. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Steven Davis.
Patricia was known for her "home cooking" and her specialty was chicken and hand-made dumplings. She was an avid reader and loved following Clemson Tigers football. Patricia and Charles were blessed to have traveled all around the world. Her favorite trips were to Paris, Rome, Hong Kong, Australia and multiple visits to Maui.
Patricia was a faithful member of Old Fort Baptist Church in Summerville, SC and enjoyed supporting the church's Tanzania Mission of "planting" new churches and a pastor training program in Eastern Tanzania. She loved to collect angels and she was "our" family's beloved angel.
Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 1:00 pm. Burial, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens immediately followed by a reception in the Mount Pleasant Chapel. The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J.
