Patricia Ann Deas Buckheister, 86, of Ladson, South Carolina, wife of the late James Ronald Buckheister entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 2, 2026. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.

Patricia was born June 17, 1940 in Sumter, South Carolina, daughter of the late John McKinley Deas and the late Meta Barr Deas. Patricia lived a life marked by faith, perseverance, and service to others. A servant of God, she carried herself with quiet strength and devotion, touching the lives of those around her through both her character and her actions. Patricia was also a two-time cancer survivor, and her resilience stood as a powerful reflection of her courage. She was a longtime member of T.O.P.S., where she shared in fellowship and encouragement with others over many years. Her generous spirit was also evident in her volunteer work at the Second Chance Thrift Shop, where her efforts helped benefit the Women’s Shelter and the Homeless Shelter. Through these acts of kindness and service, she made a meaningful difference in her community.

She is survived by children: Christopher Wayne Buckheister (Salena) of Eutawville, SC, Carl R. Buckheister of Lexington, SC, and Terri Lynn Johnston of Ladson, SC; grandchildren: Michael Edward Johnston (Selina), Rebecca Stewart, and Cheryl Hayes; six great grandchildren; and sibling, Janet Fennessy.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Mark Alan Johnston; brother, Johnny McKinley Deas, Jr.; sisters: Melva Adams, Toni Stanley, Elizabeth Whisenand, and Doloris Guy.

Patricia Ann Buckheister will be remembered with respect and gratitude for her faith-filled life, her strength in the face of hardship, and her commitment to helping others.
