Patricia Anne Buchanan

Patricia "Patty" Anne Buchanan, 55, of North Charleston, SC, died Friday, November 7, 2014. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

Patty was born October 28, 1959 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Milton Lamar Buchanan and Gwendolyn Ackerman Buchanan. She worked as a baker, was a Special Olympics participant in 1975, attended Camp High Hopes and Camp Star of Hope. She was an active member of Holmes Avenue Baptist Church, where she helped in the kitchen and with the children.

She is survived by her mother of North Charleston; two sisters: Amanda Buchanan of Ridgeville and Linda McDaniel (Charles) of North Charleston; two nieces, Kristin Crowe (Ralph) of Bonneau and Katie Osepchook (A.J.) of North Charleston; nephew, Chase McDaniel of Folly Beach; grand- nieces, Amanda and Emily; and a grand-nephew, Tucker.
