Patricia Kelly Bowman, 93, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 14, 2026. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 22, 2026 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Burial will be private.

Patricia was born February 27, 1933 in Winnsboro, South Carolina, daughter of the late Ernest Linward Kelly and Cornell Boulware Kelly Smith. Pat was an active mom, supporting her children’s activities when they were young. She and Tony loved playing bridge with friends and traveled often to Europe and across the U.S. She and Tony took yearly trips to Edisto Beach with family and Hilton Head with their loving sisters and brothers. Playing cards was always a family pastime, so some cutthroat games occurred during those family trips. Pat’s favorite color was purple, so she committed her love for shopping to building an extensive Clemson purple and orange wardrobe! Over the last few years, as Pat became homebound, she renewed her love for cards, spending hours playing solitaire while sucking on a dum-dum!

She is survived by her son, Mark Kelly Bowman; daughter, Caroline Cornell Bowman; and grandson, Gregory Paul Bowman.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Kennedy Bowman, Jr.; son, Paul Kennedy Bowman; sisters, Sara Darby, Marie Judy and Ernestine (Teeny) Tyson; and brother, Wray Smith.
