Patricia Irene Alexander

Patricia Irene Alexander, 76, of Isle of Palms, SC, entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 22, 2023. Her graveside service will be held Monday, July 10, 2023 in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 10:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Patricia was born August 19, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida, a daughter of the late Albert Darnell Alexander and the late Ella Shealy Waters (Herbert).

She worked for local government agencies for almost 40 years, retiring in 2006 from her position as the Director of Summary Court Administration for Charleston County. She cared deeply for those she met and worked with throughout her years with Charleston County and considered them part of her family. She loved all things Lowcountry, from fishing in the creeks on the Island to the woods of McClellanville. Those who knew her well will fondly remember her as marching through life to the beat of her own drum. She was quick witted, hard-working, generous, and fully embraced her role as "crazy, fun Nana"

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Wells Stuckey (Randy), of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren Brandon and Ashlyn Wells, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, her sister, Linda Hallman (Paul), and her brother, Herbert Waters Jr (Ann), both of Lexington, SC.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, McRoy (Mack) Canterbury and brother Albert Darnell (Donnie) Alexander Jr. (Lynette).
