Pamela "Pam" Joy Rector

Pamela Joy Rector, 68, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Warren L. Rector died Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 8, 2016 in Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1149 Russell Drive at 10:30 am. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 7, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

Pam was born January 19, 1948 in Morehead City, North Carolina, daughter of the late Denard McDonald Gillikin and the late Pat Doyle Gillikin. Pam grew up in Key West, Florida and Rockville, South Carolina. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and was co-owner and manager of Geechie Seafood in Mount Pleasant. Pam was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Warren L. Rector of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter, Renee Suggs and her husband, Terry, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two sons, Lance Rector and Michael Rector, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one sister, Shannon Spach of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren, Kevin and Anna Suggs, Franklin Rector and Josh and Christan Rector and their mother Dorothy Causey. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Denie White.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
