Pamela Smith Liles, beloved wife of Rodney Dale Liles of Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, December 1, 2012. The relatives and friends of Pamela Liles are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in St. Andrew's Church, Mount Pleasant at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends in Sams Hall following the service. The burial service will be held in Sunset Hills Cemetery in North Augusta, SC at a time and date to be announced. Pam was born in Augusta, Georgia, daughter of Dorine Creighton Smith of North Augusta, SC and the late Furman Terrell Smith. She attended North Augusta High School and Clemson University from where she received a BA in English. She worked for the Charleston Post and Courier for over 20 years. Pam was well known for her compassion for people and animals, her love for everything Clemson, reading, mountain trips and walks on the beach. She attended St. Andrew's Church in Mt. Pleasant.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her son, Rodney Dale Liles, Jr. of Charleston, SC; her sisters, Nancy Sapakoff and her husband, Gene, of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Dody Neely and her husband, Byron, of Augusta, GA; her nieces, Mary Dorine Roehre, Christie Sapakoff and nephews, Josh Sapakoff, Jeffrey Sapakoff and relatives throughout South Carolina.
