Palmer Carole Garvin, 73, of Johns Island, SC, widow of the late Van Cooper Jr. and Harmon Garvin, entered into eternal rest August 1, 2016.
Carole was born March 15, 1943 to Dorsey Wallace and Doris Harrison Turner.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Cooper (Sandra), daughter, Kay Cooper, grandchildren, Joseph Cooper Kearse, Brittiany Cooper, and Madeleine Cooper; seven great grandchildren, Wheeler, Michael, Amber, Allison, Savanna, Trinity, and Breanna. She is preceded in death by her son, Roy Cooper.
Carole was proud to be a retired supervisor of 20 years for the City of Charleston. Carole was affectionately known for her wit, humor, and ability to make anyone feel like family.
Memorials may be made to on behalf of Wheeler Cooper (Wheeler's Wingmen) to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Palmetto Chapter, 810 Dutch Square Blvd., Columbia, SC 29210.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL from 5-7pm Her funeral service will be held Friday in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
