Mrs. Otis Carson Davis Woodward, 86, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022. She was first the widow of Edward Earl Davis and later the widow of Harvey Cater Woodward. 

Mrs. Woodward was born October 15, 1936, a daughter to the late Heber and Polly Carson. She was preceded in death by 7 siblings, Harvey Harley, Lonnie Benton, Heber Carson, Glenn Carson, Chris Carson, Robert Singletary, and Elsie Connolly. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Terry Bunnells, and son-in-law, Andy Bunnells.

Mrs. Woodward loved to take care of everyone she met and make sure no one was ever hungry, animals included! She loved to fish, play cards, thrift store shop, listen to Elvis, drink coffee, watch Wheel of Fortune, read, and rock babies. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her love and devotion to her family.

Surviving are her children, Edward Earl Davis, Jr. (Andrea) of Walterboro, Paul Harvey Davis (Wendy) of Charleston, Cindy L Davis-Gaetano of Charleston, and Kathleen Woodward Reed (Louis) of Johns Island; 7 grandchildren, Lisa Davis Thompson (Ray), Chuckie McLaughlin (Samantha Puett), Zachary Gaetano (Brandy), Jordan Davis, Justin Davis, Brantley Gaetano, and Lily Reed; and almost six great grandchildren, Allie Thompson, Bret Thompson, Addyson McLaughlin, Paige Gaetano, Holley Gaetano, and little Hayden Paul McLaughlin arriving in 2023.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel on Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC.
