Oskar Kenneth Hirsch

Oskar Kenneth Hirsch, 66, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 2, 2018. His funeral service will be held at the graveside Sunday, February 4, 2018 in Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery (Maryville), Sycamore Avenue at 12:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.Oskar was born March 18, 1951 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Toby Kronrad Hirsch and the late Danny Hirsch. He served in the United States Air Force Reserves. Oskar was the founder of Oskar's Family Hair Care and recently worked at Ed's Barbershop. Oskar lived life to the fullest. He was loving, kind and never met a stranger. Oskar especially cherished his family and friends. He will always be remembered as the "Big O" and will forever be our "Superman."Oskar is survived by his mother Toby of Charleston, SC; two sisters: Nancee Hirsch Cope (Larry) of Columbia, SC and Cathy Hirsch Rovick (Alan) of Charleston, SC; three nieces: Lauren Rovick, Abby Rovick, and Charen Cope Simmons (Jason); six nephews: Daniel Rovick, Ethan Rovick, Brian Cope (Brandi), Brandon Cope (Tricia), and Jonathan Cope (Mandy); twelve great nieces; and six great nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue, 182 Rutledge Avenue, Charleston, SC 29403.
