Ora Belle "Billie" Sanders

Ora Belle "Billie" Eller Sanders, 95, wife of the late Paul Emory Sanders of Mt. Pleasant, SC and formerly of Orangeburg, SC passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012. The relatives and friends of Ora Bell Sanders are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Monday, June 18, 2012 in the First Baptist Church, 1240 Russell Street, Orangeburg, SC at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL on Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm.

Mrs. Sanders was born on October 5, 1916 in Banks County, Georgia, daughter of the late Benjamin Jeptha Eller and Laura Hicks Eller. She attended Piedmont College and worked in a variety of occupations during her career. Known to her family and friends as Billie, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Orangeburg and Ashley River Baptist Church of Charleston. She resided in Charleston for 15 years and Orangeburg for 42 years prior to moving to Sandpiper Community in Mt. Pleasant in September 2010.

She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Sanders of Jonesboro, GA, Paula Borgstedt and her husband, Clark, of Charleston, SC; and two grandsons, Jonathan Borgstedt of Charleston, SC and Grant Borgstedt of Columbia, SC. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gordon, Herman and Clemon and her sisters, Esther and Elzia.
