Ona Maxwell Leatherwood

Ona Maxwell Leatherwood, 72, of North Charleston, SC, wife of Captain Bobby Lee Leatherwood, USAF (Ret) died Tuesday, August 27, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 30, 2013 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends Friday from noon until the time of the service.

Ona was born September 18, 1940 in Jackson, TN, daughter of the late William Isaac Maxwell and the late Gipsy Williams Maxwell. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years of North Charleston, SC; daughter, Tara Cook and her husband Andrew of Wake Forest, NC; sons, Wade Leatherwood and his wife Whitney of Johnstown, OH and Alex Leatherwood and his wife Cindy of Charleston, SC; sister, Danita Willey and her husband Don of Jackson, TN; brothers, James Maxwell and Gipsy Maxwell both of Jackson, TN; grandchildren: Kayla Leatherwood, Ashley Lee, Ethan Leatherwood, Nicholas Leatherwood, Dylan Leatherwood, Wesley Leatherwood, Conner Leatherwood, Christopher Leatherwood and Madeleine Cook; great-grandson, Austin Gladstone.
