Olivia Jensen Maxon, 96, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Marcel Fuller PW. Maxon, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, September 13, 2016. Her Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 18, 2016 at The Presbyterian Church on Edisto Island, 2164 Hwy 174 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends in the church following the service. Olivia was born October 20, 1919 in Stuttgart, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late George Jensen and Lois James Jensen. She is predeceased by her sister Joanne Neimann. She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan where she met PW. Throughout her life, she worked as a teacher, librarian, travel agent, and author of poetry and a children's book. Olivia was a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution, King's Daughters, and active in various garden and bridge clubs. Olivia traveled the world, enjoyed watching and playing golf, and loved living at Edisto Beach. She loved watching and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church on Edisto Island.
She is survived by her son, James "Jim" Fuller Maxon (Kathy, deceased) of Hollywood, SC; daughter, Joan Maxon Deal (Clay) of West Columbia, SC; five grandchildren, Susan Hope Deter (Scott), Christopher Chris Fuller Maxon (Marjorie), James Curtis "Curt" Maxon (Karen), Paige Maxon Kupferer (Jim), and Sommer Deal Hoffman (Erik). She had nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
