Olive Johnson Rentz

Olive Johnson Rentz, 89, widow of Charles Ralph Rentz, died Friday, November 19, 2010. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services, Monday, November 22, 2010 in Rutledge Baptist Church at twelve noon.  Interment, Groomsville Baptist Church Yard, Groomsville, SC. Friends may call at Church one hour prior to service.

Mrs. Rentz was born June 9, 1921 in Gadsden, SC, the daughter of the late William Thomas Johnson and Mary Alma Sims Johnson.  A graduate of Murray Vocational High School.  She attended Rutledge Baptist Church where she was a member of the Rutledge Rejoicers- a Senior Citizens Choir. Retired as a teacher's aide with the Charleston County Public Schools.

She is survived by her son, Charles R. Rentz, Jr.,  (JoAnn) of Moncks Corner, SC;  two sisters, Julia H. Britton and Rebecca S. Johnson both of Charleston, SC; brother, Robert Lee Johnson of Fort Mill, SC; two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Marie Rentz and her son.
