Odean Broadus "Dean" Blewer, Jr., 61, of James Island, South Carolina entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 23, 2015. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street from noon until 3:00 p.m.

Dean was born March 29, 1954 in Charleston, South Carolina, the son of Odean Broadus Blewer and Dorothy Whetsell Blewer. He was a graduate of Garrett High School and attended the College of Charleston. He was the owner of Bingo City in Orangeburg, SC. He was associated for many years with various veterans groups such as Amvets and the VFW.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jane Emerson Blewer of Charleston; two sons, Brett R. Kellogg (Darcy) of St. Peters, MO, Austin D. Blewer of Columbia, SC; daughter, Ashley C. Blewer of Brooklyn, NY; two sisters, Judy Blewer of Moncks Corner, SC and Cheryl Blewer of North Charleston, SC; two nephews; and one niece.
