Novelene Godwin Stauss, 80, of Wando, South Carolina, wife of Gilbert R. Stauss, entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 14, 2016.

Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2016, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.

Novelene was born November 28, 1935, in St. Stephen, South Carolina, daughter of J.W. Godwin and Etta Humbert Godwin. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her husband, Gilbert R. Stauss of Wando; daughter, Cindy Stauss (Earl) Longshore of Mt. Pleasant; son, John Scott Stauss of Wando; granddaughter, Lynn Longshore of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Myrtle G. Jackson of Awendaw, and brother, James Ronald Godwin of Awendaw.She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Alexis Valerie Stauss.
