Norman Bynum Turkett, 73, of Goose Creek, SC, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016. His graveside service will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Norman was born October 2, 1942 in Columbia, South Carolina, son of the late Joseph Reynolds Turkett and the late Vivian Fridy Turkett. Norman was a graduate of USC with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Pamela Williams Turkett; three daughters: Melanie Turkett Batarseh, Julie Turkett McKinney (Shawn) and Laurel Walsh (Charles); son, Charles Myers (Christine); grandchildren: Isabella Marie Batarseh, Eryn Aisling McKinney, Emma Louise Walsh and Eliza Ann Walsh; many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Columbia area.
