Entered into eternal rest on the morning of Sunday, December 4, 2011, Norman J. Rhea, husband of Frankie Galbreath Rhea. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Norman J. Rhea are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL at 1 p.m. Interment, Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call at Stuhr's Downtown Chapel, Monday between 5:00 and 7:00 pm.
Norman was born on May 22, 1921 in Charleston, SC, the son of William A. Rhea and Laura Ellen Jacobsen Rhea. He graduated from Murray Vocational High School, was a retired Master Machinist with Detyens Shipyard and a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years; daughter: Linda R. Mason of James Island, SC; son: Wayne N. (Cindy) Rhea of Charleston, SC; grandson: Seth J. Mason; sister: Betty J. Leggette of Los Angeles, CA; and his beloved dog, Ollie.
